What We Collect
First name and mobile number (from event kiosk), real-time GPS location from tracking device, device telemetry (battery, signal). No photos, audio, video, health data, or browsing. No account or password required.
How We Use It
Solely for the tracking service during the event. Name and mobile number are used for session creation and are not shared. GPS data is displayed on the app. Telemetry is used for device monitoring. We do not sell, rent, or share your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Data Retention
All personal data is automatically and permanently deleted within 7 days of the event. This process is automated and irreversible. Device and event records (containing no personal information) may be retained for operational purposes.
Your Rights
You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@gridguardian.com.au. You may also request access to the data we hold about you.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS. Devices transmit over the Telstra private IoT network. Database access is restricted to authorised personnel only.
Children's Privacy
We track the GPS device location, not the child. No information is collected from or about children. The service is managed entirely by the parent or guardian.
